Managing Director - Kane Macready   

Kane is a Registered Professional Engineer (RPEQ) with over 20 years of experience in local, state, private and industrial infrastructure projects with specialisation in public works engineering.

During his previous experiences with Wide Bay Water Corporation (Local Government Owned), Hervey Bay City Council, Gladstone Area Water Board (State Owned), Cardno (Publicly Listed Company) and Engineers Plus Pty Ltd (Privately Owned) he has covered all of the differing levels of service delivery.

His specific areas of expertise include:

• Urban, industrial and commercial development;
• Project and contract management including construction, operation and end-user contracts;
• water and sewerage strategic planning;
• risk management, including:
  • o drought and flood management, in particular water storage regulatory compliance;
  • o dam safety and regulatory compliance;
  • o financial sustainability and profitability
  • o drinking water quality management;
  • o environmental sustainability and compliance;
• catchment hydrology and management;
• demand management; and
• water supply and sewerage hydraulics;

Senior Structural Engineer - Evan Shaw  

Evan is a Senior Structural Engineer with Engineers Plus in Hervey Bay. Evan overviews and coordinates the delivery of all the structural projects, including resourcing, marketing, client relations, staff training and technical development. He has over 20 years professional experience as a structural engineer gaining proficiency in the planning, design, documentation and supervision of projects ranging from power stations and high rise buildings to domestic structures. Evan has spent all of his working life employed with consulting engineers and has been exposed to a large variety of projects and as a result has a very broad knowledge base to draw from enabling him to deliver efficiency in design and practical and cost effective solutions. Evan’s experience with engineering materials includes structural steel, concrete, masonry and timber.

Evan was the designated Project Manager for the Wetside Education Water Park located in Hervey Bay. Project responsibilities included providing project management, civil, structural and hydraulic engineering services and required the coordination of many stakeholders to deliver a cost effective and compliant project. This project has been recognised by receiving Engineers Australia Engineering Excellence, Institute of Public Works Engineering Association Excellence and Master Builders Awards.
